Welcome back, heroes! In our last update, the BLUE PROTOCOL team revealed that there was a website maintenance scheduled for October 12, 2020 (Monday) from 11:00am until 3:00 pm JST. With this maintenance, the BLUE PROTOCOL team aims to update the content of the site and potentially share new details. As of 3:00pm JST, the maintenance has officially concluded for the BLUE PROTOCOL website and has brought in a new stream of information.

Closed Beta Test Information

In this testing phase, players will be testing the server load capacity for the matchmaking system. Previously, the team mentioned that before creating more development progress with the game itself, they wanted to make sure that the matchmaking system was perfected.

With this test selecting an extremely small amount of users, only 15,000 people will be chosen to participate. It will also require the users to be residents of Japan in order to play. The application period will be open from October 12, 2020 (Monday) until October 26, 2020 (Monday) 11:00 JST. The test will begin on November 7, 2020 (Saturday) from 19:00 JST until 21:59 JST. Should the amount of applicants exceed 15,000 users, a lottery will be held at random to receive access. Users will also be allowed to stream the game and share screenshots with others.

To note, your characters will start at Level 25 with premade items. This may be subject to change if the developers decide to start at a different level. Additionally, there was no information provided about previous testers receiving access to this test without registration. Therefore, to those who tested BLUE PROTOCOL previously, please make sure to apply.

If you would like to join the upcoming Closed Beta to test the server load capacity for matchmaking, feel free to submit an application in the link below.

  1. important to note is the application conditions…. people who cannot speak/read Japanese might be unable to follow instructions and thus won’t contribute, and maybe even hinder the test. “The purpose is to verify the load on the game server using the matching function.”
I’l also really would like to try the game out, but I can’t contribute well enough due to language barriers, so I’ll wait until it’s time for us western people to try it out, and I think anyone who’s not actually able to follow instructions, shouldn’t take part in this test.
